Privacy policy
Last updated: 9 September 2026
Winslow Lane is an online menswear store operated by Jonathan Ramos LLC. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect when you visit or buy from this website, why we collect it, who we share it with, how long we keep it, and the choices you have. It applies to this website and to any email, phone or messaging contact you have with our customer service team.
Most of our customers are in Australia, so we handle personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles. Because our company is registered in the United States, some of the information we hold is processed there and by our service providers overseas — section 7 explains what that means for you.
1. Who is responsible for your information
The business responsible for the personal information described here is:
Jonathan Ramos LLC, trading as Winslow Lane
9235 Downey Ave, Downey, California, 90240, United States
Email: support@winslowlane.com
Phone: +61 7 4439 9406
Orders are picked, packed and dispatched from our warehouse at 15 Frederick St, Campsie NSW 2194, Australia.
2. What we collect
Information you give us. When you place an order we collect your name, delivery address, billing address, email address and phone number. When you email us, call us, subscribe to our emails, leave a review or ask a sizing question, we collect whatever you choose to tell us in that message, along with the address you contacted us from.
Payment information. We do not collect or store your full card number, expiry date or security code. Card details are entered directly into the checkout, which is operated by Shopify, and are handled by the payment provider you choose. We only receive confirmation that a payment succeeded or failed, the payment method type, and the last four digits of the card so we can identify your order and process a refund.
Information collected automatically. Like almost every website, we record technical information when you browse: your IP address, device and browser type, operating system, screen size, language, referring website, the pages you view, what you search for, what you add to your cart, and the dates and times of your visits. This is collected through cookies and similar technologies — see section 5.
Information from others. Our payment and fraud-prevention providers may return a risk assessment on an order. Carriers return delivery scans and status updates. If you reach us through a social or advertising platform, that platform may tell us which campaign you came from. We do not buy personal information from data brokers.
We do not seek sensitive information as defined by the Privacy Act — health, biometric, racial or ethnic origin, political, religious or sexual-orientation information — and ask that you do not send it to us.
3. Why we use it
- To fulfil your order: to take payment, check for fraud, print a shipping label, dispatch the parcel, give you tracking, and handle returns, exchanges and refunds.
- To support you: to answer your emails and calls, look up an order, advise on sizing, and resolve a delivery problem or a warranty claim.
- To run and improve the store: to understand which products and pages are popular, fix errors, test changes, keep the site secure and prevent abuse.
- To market to you, where you have agreed: to send new-arrival and promotional emails if you have opted in, and to show you our advertising on other platforms.
- To meet our legal obligations: to keep transaction and tax records, respond to lawful requests, and enforce our Terms of Service.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not disclose it to third parties for their own independent marketing.
4. Marketing emails
You only receive marketing emails from us if you asked for them — by subscribing on this site or ticking the option at checkout. Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link at the bottom and you can also email support@winslowlane.com and ask to be removed. Unsubscribing is immediate on our side, though an email already queued may still arrive. Order confirmations, dispatch notices, tracking updates and replies to your enquiries are service messages, not marketing, and are sent whether or not you subscribe.
5. Cookies and similar technologies
Cookies are small files stored by your browser. We use:
- Strictly necessary cookies that keep your cart, remember your session, apply a discount code and protect checkout. The store cannot work without these.
- Performance and analytics cookies that count visits and tell us which pages and products are used, in aggregate.
- Advertising cookies that measure whether an ad led to a visit or a sale, and allow us to show you our products again on other platforms.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and most browsers let you refuse third-party cookies specifically. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will break the cart and checkout. Where a consent banner is shown to you, your choices there control the non-essential categories, and you can change them at any time by reopening the banner or clearing your cookies.
6. Who we share it with
We share personal information only with the service providers we need to run the store, and only with what they need to do their job:
- Shopify — hosts this website and operates the checkout. Shopify’s own privacy policy is available at shopify.com/legal/privacy.
- Payment providers — the provider you choose at checkout (for example Shopify Payments, PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay or Shop Pay) receives your payment and billing details directly and handles them under its own privacy policy.
- Carriers and our warehouse — your name, delivery address, phone number and email so the parcel can be delivered and tracked.
- Order tracking — our tracking page is powered by ParcelPanel, which receives your order and tracking numbers to display delivery progress.
- Analytics and advertising platforms — usage and campaign data, generally in aggregate or pseudonymous form.
- Professional advisers, and authorities where the law requires it — for example accountants, or a lawful request from a regulator, court or law-enforcement agency.
- A buyer or successor — if the business is sold or restructured, customer records may transfer as part of that transaction, subject to this policy.
7. Where your information is held
Jonathan Ramos LLC is registered in California and the providers listed above operate globally, so your personal information may be stored on or accessed from servers outside Australia — most commonly in the United States, Canada, the European Union and Singapore. Privacy laws in those countries may differ from Australian law. Before we disclose personal information overseas we take reasonable steps to ensure the recipient handles it consistently with the Australian Privacy Principles, including through the contractual terms we accept with each provider.
8. How long we keep it
Order records, including your name, addresses and order contents, are kept for at least seven years from the date of the order because tax and business-record rules require it. Customer service correspondence is kept for up to three years so we can see the history of a return or a warranty claim. Marketing subscriber records are kept until you unsubscribe, and for a short period after that so we do not accidentally email you again. Analytics data is retained in aggregate. When information is no longer needed for any of these purposes and we are not required to keep it, we delete or de-identify it.
9. Security
This website is served over HTTPS and the checkout is encrypted in transit. Access to order and customer data is limited to the people who need it to fulfil orders and answer enquiries, and is protected by individual accounts and multi-factor authentication. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security; if a data breach occurs that is likely to cause you serious harm, we will notify you and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner as required by the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme.
10. Your rights and choices
You can ask us to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you;
- Correct anything that is inaccurate, out of date or incomplete;
- Delete your information, where we are not required to keep it;
- Stop marketing to you, at any time;
- Receive a copy of the information you gave us in a portable format.
Email support@winslowlane.com with your request and the order number or email address you used, so we can find your records. We will respond within 30 days. We may need to confirm your identity first, and we will tell you if we cannot action a request in full — for example where tax law requires us to keep an order record — and why.
If you are in the United Kingdom or the European Economic Area, you also have the rights available under the UK GDPR and the EU GDPR, including the right to object to processing and to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority. If you are a California resident, you may exercise the rights available under the California Consumer Privacy Act, including the right to know, to delete, and to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information — we do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined by that Act. Using any of these rights will never cause us to give you a worse price or a worse service.
11. Children
This store is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has given us their information, email support@winslowlane.com and we will delete it.
12. Other websites
Our pages sometimes link to other websites, such as a carrier’s tracking page or a payment provider. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their privacy practices. Read their policies before giving them your information.
13. Complaints
If you think we have mishandled your personal information, please tell us first at support@winslowlane.com — we will investigate and reply to you in writing, usually within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
14. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when our practices, our providers or the law change. The current version is always on this page and the date at the top shows when it last changed. If a change materially affects how we use your information, we will make that clear on the site.
